I had COVID in December 2020. Tested positive, had symptoms, recovered. When I came back to work, I asked about antibody testing. They said it didn't matter—despite emerging studies showing natural immunity provided robust protection, often comparable to or better than vaccines.

The Science They Ignored

A 2022 Qatar study found natural immunity provided similar efficacy to vaccination. Multiple peer-reviewed studies confirmed what many nurses already knew from experience: prior infection conferred robust protection.

When the vaccine mandate came, I submitted a natural immunity exemption. Denied.
