Effective Date: February 4, 20261. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Relentless Dissent ("we," "us," "our," or the "Platform"), operated by Geneva Lakes Media LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website located at relentlessdissent.com and all related services, features, content, and applications (collectively, the "Services").
BY ACCESSING OR USING OUR SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, YOU MUST NOT ACCESS OR USE OUR SERVICES.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our Platform with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- You are not prohibited from using the Services under any applicable law
- You will comply with these Terms and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws
We do not knowingly collect information from or direct any of our Services to anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features of our Services, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
- Create a strong, unique password
- Not share your account credentials with any third party
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
- Not use another person's account without permission
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.
4. Description of Services
Relentless Dissent provides a platform for investigative journalism, documentary streaming, community discussion, and document research. Our Services include:
4.1 Documentary Streaming
Access to documentary content streamed via third-party platforms (including Rumble). Content availability may vary based on subscription tier.
4.2 Nexus Investigation Tool
An interactive canvas tool allowing users to create investigation boards with nodes representing entities (persons, organizations, events, locations) and connections between them. Users may create, edit, and share canvases subject to their subscription tier.
4.3 Dead Drop Document Submissions
A secure submission system for documents of public interest. This feature allows users to submit documents anonymously for review. Dead Drops are categorized as: FOIA documents, source documents, data dumps, leaks, legal filings, research, and deleted/archived content.
4.4 Community Features
Forums, discussion threads, member stories, evidence lockers, and direct messaging features. Access to certain community features may be restricted by subscription tier.
4.5 Vault Archives
Premium research archives including FOIA documents, clinical trial data, and other research materials available for purchase or included with certain subscription tiers.
4.6 AI-Powered Features
Artificial intelligence tools including document parsing, entity extraction, and research assistance. Use of AI features may require Runes (our platform currency) or specific subscription tiers.
5. Subscription Tiers and Payment
5.1 Subscription Tiers
We offer multiple subscription tiers with varying levels of access:
- Free Tier: Limited access to public content and basic features
- Supporter Tier: Enhanced access including Dead Drops, Evidence Locker, and additional features
- Insider Tier: Full access to all features including exclusive content, priority support, and enhanced AI capabilities
5.2 Payment and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fees. Payments are processed through Stripe or other third-party payment processors.
5.3 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by law.
5.4 Runes (Platform Currency)
Runes are a virtual currency used within the Platform to access certain features, including AI-powered tools. Runes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. Unused Runes may expire according to our Runes Policy. Runes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
6. User-Generated Content
6.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display on or through the Services ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with the Services and our business operations.
6.2 Content Representations
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to submit your User Content
- Your User Content does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights
- Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws
- Your User Content does not contain any material that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
6.3 Content Moderation
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove any User Content at our sole discretion. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable for any reason.
7. Prohibited Conduct and Content
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
7.1 Illegal Content
You may NOT submit, upload, or share any content that:
- Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors
- Promotes or facilitates terrorism or violent extremism
- Contains credible threats of violence against specific individuals or groups
- Constitutes human trafficking or exploitation
- Facilitates the sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or controlled substances
- Contains malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Violates any applicable law, regulation, or court order
7.2 Harmful Content
You may NOT submit content that:
- Harasses, bullies, or threatens other users
- Contains personally identifiable information of others without consent (doxxing)
- Impersonates another person or entity
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading
- Infringes on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights
7.3 Platform Abuse
You may NOT:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without our express written permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
- Circumvent any access controls or usage limits
- Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
8. Mandatory Reporting of Illegal Content
8.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
If we discover or receive any CSAM through our Services, including via Dead Drop submissions, we will:
- Immediately report the content to NCMEC via the CyberTipline
- Preserve all related evidence and user information for at least one year
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations
- Terminate the associated account without notice
8.2 Other Illegal Content
We will cooperate with law enforcement agencies investigating illegal activities conducted through our Services. This includes responding to valid legal process such as subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants. We may report illegal content to appropriate authorities even without legal compulsion when we believe such reporting is necessary to prevent harm.
8.3 User Reporting
If you encounter illegal content on our Platform, you must report it immediately using our reporting tools or by contacting us at legal@relentlessdissent.com. Do NOT download, share, or redistribute illegal content.
9. Dead Drop Submission Terms
The Dead Drop feature allows users to submit documents of public interest. By using this feature, you agree to the following additional terms:
9.1 Submission Standards
Dead Drop submissions must be:
- Of legitimate public interest (e.g., government accountability, corporate misconduct, public health concerns)
- Authentic and unaltered (or clearly marked as redacted/edited)
- Free of any illegal content as defined in Section 7
- Submitted in good faith with no intent to harass, defame, or harm
9.2 Review Process
All Dead Drop submissions undergo review before publication. We reserve the right to:
- Reject submissions that do not meet our standards
- Redact personal information to protect privacy
- Verify document authenticity when possible
- Delay publication pending legal review
- Report illegal content to appropriate authorities
9.3 Anonymity Limitations
While we strive to protect submitter anonymity, we cannot guarantee absolute anonymity. We may be legally compelled to disclose information pursuant to valid legal process. We recommend using secure submission methods and consulting with an attorney if you have concerns about legal exposure.
9.4 No Solicitation of Illegal Acts
The Dead Drop feature is NOT intended to solicit or encourage illegal activity including theft of trade secrets, hacking, unauthorized access to computer systems, or breach of confidentiality agreements. We encourage potential whistleblowers to consult with legal counsel regarding whistleblower protection laws.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
10.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Services and all content therein, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, software, and the compilation thereof, are the property of Geneva Lakes Media LLC or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
10.2 Trademarks
"Relentless Dissent," our logo, and other marks are trademarks of Geneva Lakes Media LLC. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
10.3 DMCA Compliance
We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond to valid takedown notices. Our DMCA Policy is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
11. Third-Party Services and Content
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
Third-party services used in connection with our Platform include but are not limited to:
- Rumble (video streaming)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- PocketBase (backend services)
Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from using the Services will be accurate or reliable
- Any content or information obtained through the Services will be accurate
- Any errors in the Services will be corrected
12.1 Content Disclaimer
Content available through our Services, including user-submitted documents and AI-generated analysis, is provided for informational purposes only. We do not verify the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of user-submitted content. YOU SHOULD INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY ANY INFORMATION BEFORE RELYING ON IT.
12.2 Not Legal Advice
Nothing on our Platform constitutes legal advice. If you require legal advice, please consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GENEVA LAKES MEDIA LLC, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Services
- Any content obtained from the Services
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE PAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Geneva Lakes Media LLC and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your User Content
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your violation of any applicable law
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
15.2 Arbitration Agreement
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, shall be determined by arbitration in Walworth County, Wisconsin, before a single arbitrator. The arbitration shall be administered by JAMS pursuant to its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules and Procedures.
15.3 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND GENEVA LAKES MEDIA LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
15.4 Small Claims Exception
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court.
16. General Provisions
16.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and DMCA Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Geneva Lakes Media LLC regarding the Services.
16.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.
16.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
16.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
16.5 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
